Abstract
Description
A shock tube is a standard laboratory apparatus to study shock waves since it can
produce different regimes and flow rates. The abrupt release of energy, high-speed
projectiles, laser ablations, and supersonic or transonic objects moving (typically with
a Mach number of 0.3) all produce such waves.
