Abstract
Job satisfaction is a vital aspect of organizational success, particularly in service-oriented
sectors such as banking. This study investigates job satisfaction among Nepalese
commercial bank workers, concentrating on five important factors: job security,
recognition, advancement prospects, pay and benefits, and working environment.
Evaluating the variables that affect job happiness and examining the connection between
these variables and total job satisfaction are the main goals.
Structured questionnaires were used to gather data from a sample of workers of different
commercial banks in Nepal using a quantitative study approach. The results show that,
although their effects differ, all five factors have a considerable impact on job
satisfaction. Job satisfaction was found to be most strongly correlated with a favorable
work environment and job security, followed by prospects for promotion, recognition,
and Salary and rewards.
The study suggests strategies for enhancing job satisfaction, including creating a
collaborative work culture, implementing performance-based reward systems, fostering
transparency in Promotion, and ensuring job security. These recommendations aim to
help commercial banks in Nepal optimize their human resource practices, thereby
improving employee retention, productivity, and organizational performance.
The thesis will give the concerned employers pertinent information and messages that,
based on the findings of this study, will assist them further improve their levels of
satisfaction and, eventually, production. Therefore, this survey is important since it helps
determine the precise emotion of the workforce, which enables the implementation of
tactical and strategic improvements by providing insightful recommendations to increase
employee happiness.
