dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study is to measure the impact of HRM Practices on employee Commitment in Nepalese commercial banks. Descriptive and casual comparative research design is used. This study is based on primary data of commercial banks with 400 observations in Nepal to achieve the purpose of the study, structured questionnaire is prepared. The questionnaires were multiple choice, ranking scale. Likert scale and other demographic information were used to collect primary data. The Likert scale on different variables like Staffing, Training and Development, Compensation and Performance Appraisal measured in 5-point Likert scale and weighted mean value of each variable were used to examine the relationship between dependent and independent variables as for the study purpose. The regression model is estimated to test the significance impact between variables. The major conclusion of the study is that among the independent variables (staffing, training and development, compensation, and performance appraisal), performance appraisal had the most effect on employee commitment. Apart from that, all of other three independent variables were found to have a significant impact on employee Commitment. The study concluded that better HRM practices in the organization leads to increase in employee commitment.
