dc.description.abstractThis research entitled Exploring EFL Teachers' Perception on Task Based Language Teaching is an attempt to find out the perceptions of teachers on task based language teaching from different schools of Saptari district. The main objectives of this study were to explore the EFL teachers perceptions on the task based language teaching in the ELT classroom and to find out some major challenges faced by the teachers while implementing TBLT into the classroom. The researcher took thirty ELT teachers as the sample who taught different basic schools of Saptari district by using purposive sampling strategy. The obtained data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The overall findings of the study showed that the majority of respondents have a general level of understanding about TBLT concept, regardless of teaching levels, but that exist some obstacles and negative views on implementing TBLT with regard to its classroom practice. Additionally, some useful implementations are purposed based on research findings in order to help teachers and teacher's trainers to construct and implement TBLT more effectively. The study has been divided into five chapters. The first chapter of the study deals with back-ground of the study, statement of the problem, objectives of the study, research questions, significance of the study, delimitations of the study and operational definition of key term. The second chapter deals with review of related theoretical literature, review of empirical literature, implications of the study. Third chapter deals with design of the study, population, sample and sampling strategies, research tools, source of data, collection procedures, data analysis procedures and ethical consideration. In chapter four data were analyzed and interpretation of the results. Fifth chapter deals with findings, conclusion, and recommendation of the study. The questionnaires have been included in appendixes and references were submitted at the end of study.  en_US
