dc.description.abstractThe present research study entitled “Use of Nepali language in Englishclassroom” is an attempt to analyze the attitude of teacher and students towardstheuse oftheNepali language in English classroom. The researcher selectedfive lower secondary schoolsof Morang districts. Five teachers and tenstudents were selected from lower secondary level of community schools. Themain objectives of this study wereto use of Nepali language in English class,to find out the perceived purposes of the Nepali language in English classroom,to find out the attitude of teachers and students towards the use of Nepalilanguage in English classroom and to suggest some pedagogical implications.The methodology employed to carry out this study was the surveybased onmixed method (qualitative and quantitativemethod). Researcher used a set ofquestionnaire forteachers to gather the teachers’attitude and next one set ofquestionnaire for students to collect the students’attitude on the use of Nepalilanguage in English classroom. Classroom observation guideline was anothertoolto find the use of Nepali language in English classroom. The researcherused primary and secondarysources to complete the study. This reportcontains five main chapters. The first chapter deals withbackground of the study, statement of the problem, objective of the study,research questions,significance of the study delimitations of the study anddefinition of terms use. The second chapter deals with the review of theoreticalliterature, review of empirical literature, theoretical/conceptual, framework.The third chapter deals with design and method of study population sample andsampling strategy,study site, sources of data, collection procedures, dataanalysis and interpretation procedure. The fourth chapter deals with analysisand interpretation of result, summary of finding. The fifth chapter deals withconclusion and recommendation (policy related recommendation,practicerelatedrecommendation andfurther research relatedrecommendation). Thefinal section of the study includes the references and appendices.en_US
