The research entitled "Vocabulary of Limbu Aanipan -Yakfa Thik and English Textbook of Grade I" is aimed at finding and comparing the vocabulary used in English textbook and Limbu Aanipan - Yakfa Thik (language textbook for students of Limbu mother tongue). The main objective of the study is to analyze the vocabulary of major word classes (noun, verb, adjective and adverb) and compare them in two different textbooks. Limbu textbook and English textbook for class one are taken as the sample. The researcher has adopted the purposive non-random sampling procedure to select the sample - Limbu textbook.
