Abstract
This thesis entitles “SOCIO-ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL EFFECT OF REMITTANCE ON RURAL DEVELOPMENT” (A Case study of Banepa Municipality, ward no. 6 of Kavrepalanchowk)was based on primary data collected in Chaitra/ Baisakh 2076. The main objective of the study is to find out socio-economic effect of rural development through remittance. The research has been considered the reason of migration from Banepa community. The research includes the descriptive form and data were primary and nature of data were qualitative and quantitative respectively.
Banepa Municipality ward number 6 is located in Central Region of Kavrepalanchowk district of Province 1. Among the total household of 824, 291 households have their family member in foreign land with purpose of earning which is considered as universe. Remittance of foreign land considers the individual who is out of Nepal either in India or other countries. Finally, 60 respondents were taken from the households who have members for abroad. Questionnaire schedule was developed to get quantitative data and entered in Ms-Excel for its final analysis and interpretation. The qualitative data were analyzed manually taking reference of SWOT analysis.
Hence, the Remittance plays an important role to make both positive and negative changes in perspective of Social and economic life. It is the part of development of community with respect to time.
