| dc.description.abstract | Health is a valuable property of human being. If we are not physically mentally socially, emotionally well, it is difficult to write and do income generating activities. Nepal is facing more health problems such as the presence of the communicable disease, high mortality rate, malnutrition, etc. This study was conducted among 100 selected household purposively from Vyas municipality comparative study based on primary data collected by using questionnaire for analysis of the data. The study revealed that only ten percent (10%) budget has been allocated for solid waste management in the fiscal year 2069/70 BS. Vyas municipality has been allocated 35 lakhs for every year to manage solid waste of the municipal area. The study shows that sixty-four percent (64%) of the total waste is organic and compostable and twenty six (26%) is recyclable and ten percent (10%) is inorganic. Similarly, the study shows that there were 6692 residents in Vyas municipality. It produced an estimated 7 tons of waste per day. It is found that seventy-one (71%) percent respondents get information from their ward member, seven percent (7%) respondents get information from magazine. The study shows that sixty-five percent (65%) participant were woman out of total participation in cleaning campaign of the municipality ward. Fifty-one (51%) percent respondents out of total respondents reported that the effectiveness of solid waste management is satisfactory. similarly fifty nine percent (59%) respondents out of total respondents reported that the role of municipality on solid waste management is satisfactory. The highest percent forty five (45%) respondents reported that municipal administration is responsible for the solid waste management. Finally, to make the Vyas municipality neat and clean, economic and human resource should be mobilize properly and in order to get people's participation municipal authorities should seek people's involvement. | |
