dc.description.abstractThis research entitled "Bodily Exploitation of Women in Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale” explores the problem of gender inequality prevailing in the Canadian society as reflected in the novel.By adopting feminism as a theoretical methodology it analyzes women's subordination which is the reflection of patriarchal domination. Moreover women are made to be biologically controlled and oppressed something they resist which helps them to redefine their bodies and selves from their perspectives. The resistance also challenges the popular concept of gender associated with women is reproductive function.en_US
