dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this studywastodetermine theeffectivenessof inductiveand deductive method in teaching English Articles.It is an experimentalresearch.The researcher has selected 36students studying at SunrisePublicHigher Secondary School, Mahendranagar with judgmental non-randomsamplingprocedure.Thedata weretabulated and analyzed groupwise from different perspective i.e. comparison in general, item wisecomparison, gender wise comparison. The result obtained from theanalysis of the data showed that deductive method is more effective thaninductive method. Therefore,it is recommended that deductive methodshould be applied by the teachers to teach articles in English. The thesis is divided into four chapters: introduction, methodology,analysis and interpretation and findings and recommendations. Thefirstchapterdealswithgeneralbackground,review of related literature,objectives and significance of thestudy. Thesecond chapterdealswiththe methodology used to carryout this research. It contained primaryandsecondary sources of data, process of data collection and limitations ofthe study. Thethird chapterdealswith the analysis and interpretation ofthe data. This chapter included the analysis of the data,comparison ofthe performance of the students on the basis ofdifferent test items. Thefourthchapterisconcerned withthe findingsderived from the analysisand interpretation of dataand recommendationssuggestedon the basis ofthe findings.en_US
