Abstract
This research study entitled’ "Problems Faced by English Teachers in Teaching Writing Skill for Grade Nine Students" was carried out to find out the problems faced by English teachers in teaching writing skill. For this, the researcher selected forty-two English teachers from thirty different secondary schools of Nawalparasi District. A set of questionnaires was prepared for the informants. In questionnaire, different questions were included related to teaching writing skill and its problematic areas. The prepared set of questionnaires were distributed to forty-two teachers and collected after one week. The collected data were analyzed and presented in different tables and figures. On the basis of the analysis of the data, some findings were developed.
This thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter deals with introduction of the English language, school level ELT situation, general information about teaching writing skill. The second chapter covers all the areas of methodology dealing with the sources of data, population of the study, sampling procedure,process of data collection and limitations of the study.The third chapter includes the analysis and interpretation of the collected data using different tables, charts, figures and so on. Similarly, the fourth chapter aims at presenting the finding and implications of the study,and some recommendations for the purpose of improving the concerned field. Some suggestions made on the basis of the findings of the study have also been included in this chapter. References and appendices are presented in the final part of this study.
