dc.description.abstractThe research study entitled "Developing Writing Proficiency through Process Writing" attempts to find out the actual writing proficiency of the tenth graders of Parbat district in terms of organization and proper use of processes such as generating ideas, focusing, structuring, drafting, evaluating and re-viewing. To carry out the research the researcher selected Shree Ram Secondary School of Parbat district by using non random judgmental sampling procedures and twenty students (ten boy sand ten girls) by using simple random sampling procedure. The research was carried out using both primary and secondary sources of data. The researcher went to the field and taught the students by using processes of wiring.He taught paragraph writing, letter writing, dialogue writing, essay writing, story writing and speech talk. The researcher took the weekly test and measured the students' proficiency. The test score was the tool for data collection. The data were analyzed and interpreted on the basis of the tabulated data in accordance with the set objectives. The findings show that the proficiency of the students after teaching by applying process writing was satisfactory. All of the students got high progress,but this is long process to apply. This thesis comprises four main chapters. The first chapter deals with introduction which consists of general background, review of the related literature, objectives of the study and significance of the study. The second chapter deals with the methodology used to carry out the research,the sources of data, sample population, sampling procedures, tools for data collection, process of data collection and limitations of the study. The third chapter consists of analysis and interpretation of the data. The collected data were analyzed and interpreted by using simple statistical tools like average, percentage and descriptive approach.The fourth chapter presents the findings derived from the analysis and the interpretation of the data. It also suggests some recommendations on the basis of the findings. The final section of the study includes the references and appendices.en_US
