Abstract
This study focuses on “Problem faced by a female mathematics teacher in teaching mathematics at the university level.” The purposive of the study was to identify the problems of female teachers in teaching mathematics at university level. It concentrated on the specific themes of emerging main research questionnaire, in-interview schedule and document analysis on the based on problems in teaching in eight campuses of Tribhuvan University, (Janamaitri Multiple Campus, Bhaktapur Multiple Campus, Sanothimi Campus, Trichandra Campus, Mahendra Ratna Campus, Kathmandu University, Padma Kanya Campus and Tribhuvan University). Eighteen Female teachers were selected based on snowball sampling. The collected data were analyzed with the help of theories and related literature.
The study is based on twenty-one statements. In this statement, eight problems of female teachers are shown. Females face a problem such as problems in administration as they don’t assign designation for female teachers, the problem in teaching-learning due to lack of commanding voice. problem include rearing and bearing children, preparing food, menstruation, pregnancy, home environment barrier for developing their carrier, lack of training program for developing their skill.
