dc.description.abstractourism industry is going to be most important in the world today. The large numbers of countries of the world have some priority to the development of tourism intheir own country by allocating and investing more money in this sector. All the countries of the world have accepted tourism industry as a main sector of farming’s foreign currencies along with a generator of new employment opportunities. An important part ofthe tourism develop in Nepal to increase number of tourist arrivals to length their stay agood image of Nepal to the visitor so as to attract them for re-visit and to make themspend move on Nepalese goods and services. The Ghalegaun is rapidly growingas the second important tourist’s paradise inNepal. The major objectives of the study were to explore the socio-economic impact oftourism in. The study has been completed mainly by using primary data. Some secondarydata also has been used which were collected the different publications and department oftourism HMG of Nepal. The primary data were collected by questionnaire survey oftourists local hotels/ lodges in Ghalegaun. Primary information was supplemented by oral interview with local people. Ghalegaun has under gone such changes as maintained above due to the phenomena likemodernization, urbanization, industrialization and others. In sum, it is also observed thattourism has contributed a lot in raising the awareness among the communities, national ofpreserving their traditional culture values norms and heritage. The problems of Ghalegaunare unorganized sanitation, waste management, unmanaged dumping site, poaching wildlife, etc. So, tourism development in Ghalegaun should include keeping to up local traditions and culture. By keeping up tradition is not only an attraction for tourists or anincome source. It is much important for a sustainable development of tourism.en_US
