Abstract
This present study entitled"Effectiveness ofCommunicativeActivities inTeaching English Presentations"aims to find out the effectiveness ofcommunicative activitiesin teaching English prepositions at grade eight.Thestudy was carried out using both primary and secondary sources of data. Theprimary data was elicited from25 students of grade eight of Baisnavi SecondarySchool, Bhajangalby administrating time-on-task, pre-test, post-test andprogressive tests. For the secondary data, I mainly used grade six, seven and eightEnglish textbooks.Analysisand interpretation ofthe datahas shown notableeffect of communicative activities in teaching English prepositions.
This study is divided into four chapters;the first chapter contains generalbackground, review of the related literature, objectives and significance of thestudy and the definition of the specific terms. The second chapter includes themethodology adopted to carry outthe study, sources of data,sampling procedures,tools and process of data collection and limitations of the study. The third chapterdeals with the analysis and interpretation of data. The fourth chapter consists ofthe findings and recommendations of the study. Finally, referencesand appendicesare on the concluding part oftheresearch.
