dc.description.abstractThis study entitled 'Negative Transformation in English and Khawas' was carried out to identify the processes of negation in Khawas language and to compare and contrast them with English. The researcher collected data from both primary and secondary sources. Using non-random purposive sampling, the researcher selected 50 Khawas native speakers (above 20 years of age belonging) from Inaruwa Municipality, Ward No. 7 Chandabela of Sunsari district. I took a structured interview and provided a set of questionnaire among them to collect data. Then, based information the study population. I analyzed and interpreted the data both qualitatively and quantitatively. The process of Khawas negative transformations were found vividly. The study found that 'nai' ‘ah:’ and ‘kyam’ were the negative marker in Khawas language. Khawas Negative imperative marker placed as the negative marker ( 'nai', ‘ah:’ , and ‘kyam’ ) before the verb in Khawas. The present study consists of five main chapters. The first chapter deals with the introduction of the study , background of the study, statement of the problem, objectives, rationale, and significance of the study, research questions and the delimitations with operational definitions of the key terms. The second chapter contains the review of related literature and theoretical framework and conceptual framework. Similarly, the third chapter is methods and procedures of the study. Likewise, the fourth chapter includes results and discussions that deals with the analysis and interpretation of the data. Finally, the fifth chapter comprises of the summary, conclusions and recommendations in policy level, practice level and further researches. At the end, the references and appendices are included.en_US
