| dc.description.abstract | Sam Shepard’s Simpatico is the representation of people’s alienation from the status quo, their suffering and painful condition in the capitalistic modern technological world. It depicts the revolutionary spirit of the aliened people as Vinnie protests against Carter’s misconduct and shows his active opposition against the capitalistic evils. However, in the hegemonic domination of the capitalism, individual’s attempt of opposition remains passive. And Vinnie at last, returns in his own previous situation where he was living in isolation for fifteen years. Thus, the question of alienation remains for ever in the modern technological world. | en_US |
