Then all the students ofCIBHS were also selected in the sample. The students of both schools weredivided into two groups (Group A and Group B). Two types of test item wereused to collect the required data. Test items with illustration were provided togroup A of both the schools and test items without illustration were provided togroup B of both the schools. The performance of students on those test itemswas analysed and interpreted by using different statistical means. The analysisof the collected data revealed that the performance of group A was better thanperformance of group B. On the basis of the main finding, teachers andtextbook designers are suggested to use illustrations along with printed texts. This study is presented into four chapters.Chapter oneis introductory chapter. It includes general background, review of the related literature, objectives ofthe study, significance of the study and definition of specific terms.Chaptertwodeals with the methodology applied to carry out the research under whichsources of data, sampling procedure, tools for data collection, process of datacollection and limitations of the study were included.Chapter threeis analysisand interpretation of data. In this chapter both statistical and descriptive methodof analysis is adopted.Chapter fourincludes findings and recommendationsof the research.
