| dc.description.abstract | Human desires are unlimited but the scopes for fulfillment are limited that reinforce to add subjectivity crisis of the self. People are struggling for their existence as well as their identity. To maintain their social status and make their future bright, they go abroad and feel sense of identity .The advancement of technology helps men to fulfill their basic necessities without arduous working but the hunger for materialistic gain destroys their mental peace and tranquility. As a result, people ultimately feel disintegration, marginalization, sense of restlessness, dislocation and the state of limbo. For example, protagonist of Seasons of Flight, Prema experiences frustration, anxiety, and self-disintegration and restlessness while staying in America. Her pleasure seeking tendency causes her ultimate fragmentation of her personality. This thesis, based with on the theory of post colonialism, exposes how her subjectivity turned into fragmented self and collapse of her identity which turns towards sense of restlessness. | en_US |
