The present research work undertakes a feminist study of Abhi Subedi’s Dreams of Peach Blossoms and Fire in the Monastery. This study tries to examine the silent voices of female protagonists Maiju and Purnima, and shows their ceaseless efforts to find their true self. They are forced to hide their true voices due to the socio- cultural and religious practices and they remain soundless. On the one hand, they are made silent but on the other, they deliberately choose silence. As an African proverb, “To much silence produces louder noise”, Maiju and Purnima are creating louder noise from silence. Their silences enable them to annihilate patriarchal domination and thus become an ultimate end to get power. Finally, by silence they free themselves from servile bondages to the world.en_US
