Abstract
This study was on Attitudes of Teachers' and Students' Towards Continuous Assessments System at Lower Secondary Level. Main purpose of the present study was to find out attitudes of teachers and students towards continuous assessments system at lower secondary level. The researcher selected the government aided schools of Rukum district. The total sample of this study consisted of 5 lower secondary level teachers and 30 students who were chosen using purposive non-random procedure. It was a survey research. The tool I used was questionnaire. The data collected from the informants were analyzed and interpreted to determine the attitude of teachers and students towards continuous assessment system. The finding of the study show that 70% teachers have positive attitudes towards continuous assessment system. But these teachers 30% who did not proper idea about continuous assessment system. They have negative attitudes, similarly, 30% students have positive attitudes towards continuous assessment system. This thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter includes the background of the study, statement of the problem, research questions, significance of the study, delimitations of the study, operational definition of the key terms. The second chapter deals with the review of related literature and conceptual framework. The third chapter deals with methods and procedures of the study adopted during the research study, population and sample, sampling procedure, data collection tools, data collection procedures and data analysis and interpretation procedure. The fourth chapter deals with analysis and interpretation of results. The fifth chapter deals with conclusion and recommendations. In the final part of this thesis references and appendix are included.
