Abstract
The present study is about Use of Self-Access Centre for English Language
Learning: A Case of Central Library of TU. The main objective of this study
is to find out the views of Master’s degree students towards Central Library as
a model of Self-Access Centre (SAC). For this I have employed the survey
research design. I have used a set of questionnaire with closed-ended and openended
questions
in
order
to
collect the
data.
The
populations
are the
students
of
M.
Ed 2nd
year
from
University
Campus,
Kirtipur.
In
order
to get the
intended
data,
40 students
are
selected
as a sample
by
using
purposively
non-random
sampling
procedure
for
my
research
study.
The
findings
showed that
the
use of
self-access
centers
like
Tribhuvan
University
Central
Library
(TUCL)
for
English
language
learningis
better and
more
effective.
It helps to develop
learner
autonomy
and
linguistic
proficiency
of
Students.The
findings
also
showed
that
TUCL
was
found
as a good model
of
SAC and students
got
benefits
from
there. Students
believed
that TUCL
helps to
promote
their
autonomous
learning
and
develop their
English
language proficiency
and
vocabulary
power.
