dc.description.abstractThe present research study entitled"Students' Perception towards theCourse Literature for Language Development"aims to explore the viewsof students about the courseprescribed for third year Bachelor of Education.I have analyzedthe course on the basis of strengths and weaknesses aspointed by students. To meet the objectives of this research, I purposivelyselected 40 students who have studied this course by using purposive non-random sampling procedure. The responses they provided were used as theprimary sources of data. The finding of the research is that most of thestudents have positive perception towards the course:Literature forLanguage Development.They argued thatthe knowledge of literature isnecessary to get mastery over English language and this knowledge helps infuture and this course really develops language ability, critical and creativethinking, competences and interpretive ability in the learners. This thesis has been organized into four chapters. The first chapter deals withthe introduction, review of the related literature, objectives of the study, andsignificance of the study. The second chapter includes methodology adoptedto bring out this research work. While carrying out this work, the data wascollected from both sources viz. primary and secondary where teachers andstudents remained as the primary source. The third chapter presents theanalysis and interpretation of the courseLiterature for LanguageDevelopment. In this chapter, primarily, the students' perceptions were presented. The fourth chapter includes findings and recommendations madeupon the analysis and interpretations of the data.en_US
