Abstract
The objective of this study is to investigate the factors that influence investment in mutual
fund schemes of Nepal. The independent factors in this study include performance of
mutual fund, fund manage qualities, corporate governance and transparency, ease of
investment and perception towards mutual funds, whereas investment in mutual fund is
the dependent variable. The primary data for the study was acquired through a structured
questionnaire survey, which was delivered to 400 samples, representing the study's
sample size. descriptive and causal comparative research design were used to find
accurate data and effects on factors. Whereas, mean, standard deviation, correlation and
regression was used as statistical tools to find out the result.
The study found a positive correlation between performance of mutual fund, fund manage
qualities, corporate governance and transparency, ease of investment and perception
towards mutual fund with investment in mutual fund and These factors also had
significant effects on investment in mutual fund.
