This dissertation is a discussion of Sanjeev Upreti’s Ghanachakar where the protagonist, an university lecturer, gets disturbed by the unsystematic system prevalent everywhere be it in University or in the society. Presenting an intellectual as a mad juxtaposes the lunatic plane onto normal social realities in a way that expresses disobedience against the stereotype images of so-called lunatics since it has become the means of exploitation of the common people. The protagonist, I,deconstructs the medical definition of mad as his journey explores the insight of socio-political complexities as well as follies prevalent inside it. He goes on searching his remedy by himself because it is not the mater of medical science rather of emotion and love that he has for his country and his men. In this journey he celebrates his “madness” indifference to the discourse of the society.en_US
