The aim of this study is to analyze Hari Kunzru’s My Revolutions from the countercultural perspective. The title of this novel "My Revolutions" itself shows the disapproval of social norms and values of the society. In this novel, the characters are adopting different ways of living, which are generally different than others. The characters' activities are unconventional. This study has focused on why the characters are following so-called immoral activities. In 1960s and 70s, various groups were involved in opposing the mainstream culture who were dissatisfied towards the state mechanism which was led by capitalism. The characters are involving in stealing, theft, bombing, drug addiction and so on. They were involving in such activities because they wanted to form a new society where they can exercise their freedom without any obstacles. However, the state had suppressive policy against the people who rebelled against mainstream culture. Adoption of such activities during of 1960s and 70s are regarded as the countercultural activities.en_US
