Abstract: The present thesis entitled NEPALESE INVESTORS’ PERCEPTION TOWARDS IPO INVESTMENT IN NEPAL: A COVID PERSPECTIVE is an attempt to analyze the involvement of IPO investors, influencing factors of investing and situation of stock market. The main objective of the study to analyze the condition of stock market during COVID 19, to analyze the influencing factors of IPO investment and to analyze the behavior of Nepalese investors towards IPO investment. Both primary and secondary data were used for the study. Mainly the data were collected from primary source of data and somehow useful data were collected from secondary source of data as well. Then data were analyzed based on some statistical tools, they are table, graph, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, correlation, and regression analysis. In this research convenience sampling method was used to select the sample size. As sample size, 250 respondents were selected based on thumb rule. Out of the 250 respondents only 169 respondents has fill up the questionnaire. The major finding of the study showed that the condition of stock market is comparatively better than previous years even in COVID pandemic period. The NEPSE index has increased in rapid pace and reached up to 2735.4 on 15 April 2021, which indicate that stock market, is in bullish trend even in COVID pandemic. Similarly, the market capitalization value has also increased rapidly up to 3,620,828 million in 30 April 2021. It shows that the condition of Nepalese stock market has improving day by day and during COVID pandemic the stock market has comparatively well performing than normal period. Likewise, according to the collected data the beneficiary owner DMAT account has reached up to 3,491,746 until 30 April 2021. Which indicate that the behavior of Nepalese investors towards IPO investment is positive. According to the analysis, the independent variables are positively correlated with dependent variables. Which indicates the positively change on independent variables reflect the positive change on investing on IPO. Likewise, according to regression analysis Updated policy of SEB ON has most influencing factors of IPO investment than other variables.
