Abstract

The present research on Mahasweta Devi’s Selected Stories attempts to show female physical as well as mental exploitation. The study has taken almost all five stories are; 'Breast Giver', 'Behind the Bodice', 'Rudali' , 'Draupadi' and 'krukshetra' where females existence is manipulated by male. Female body has been presented as female weakness which invites physical attack and sexual harassment. Male has stereotypical insights which lead them to exploit female body. It portrays female's physical exploitation and females have to face male suppression. However, the society undergoes with female exploitation female are not having them silently but they resist against unfair and unkind exploitation which has prevalent in the society. Every story has female protagonist is no more patient on male unreasonable manipulation and body exploitation but they resist for them and raise strong voices against them.
