Abstract
Moll Flanders can be read in a number of ways,but this study has chosen to
concentrateon the secured life of Moll. The major tool used for this research is feminist
theory for exploring the secured life of the main character,Moll.Moll,being a woman of
lower-class has suffereda lot and she has been repeatedly used by men. So, she wants to
remove her status as a lower-class woman and wants to upgrade her class. It portrays an
accurate view of the things such as crime, punishment, and prostitution that are taking place
during eighteenth century Europe.Though in doing so, she herself becomes notorious,but
in the end she wins, the title of a gentle woman.For Moll security in life is to achieve the
financial achievement.Throughout her life she searched her social and gender security
through getting the financial sound male partner as well as she herself. To achieve that
Moll has to live various life style seven she has to live the life of prostitute for her social
and gender security through money or property.The research explores how Moll has the
yearnings for security in life in the contemporary surroundings through money.
